Mary Van Guilder

Obituary of Mary L Van Guilder

Mary L. Van Guilder, age 62, lifelong resident of Duluth, passed away peacefully with family at her side, Thursday, March 10, 2016, while at St. Luke’s Hospital. Mary loved to be outside doing anything, from working on her craft projects to working in one of her many gardens. She also enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. Mary enjoyed stopping over for a cup of coffee with friends and going for walks with Marcy. And most of all, spending time with family and teaching us how to be a family. If it was a barbecue to one of the kid’s birthday parties, she was always there for her family. Preceded in death by Albert Van Guilder, husband; Art Wright, boyfriend; Henry Godden, father; Alice Carpenter, mother; Ken Carpenter, step-father; Tom Godden, John Godden & Don Godden, brothers; Jeremy Godden, nephew. Survived by Shawn & Michelle Van Guilder, Twig; Jay & Cassie Van Guilder, Caribou Lake, grandchildren, Emma, Dennis, Dustin & Bella. Sue Buresh; Robert Godden; Dave & Joetta Godden, Rick & Sue Godden, Nancy & Pete Remer, Penny Godden and many nieces and nephews. Gathering of family and friends from 9 am until the 10 am memorial service Thursday, March 17th in the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave., 218-624-5200.
