Obituary of Bluege Benjamin Greene

Bluege Benjamin Greene, 91, passed away at Viewcrest Health Facility on March 13, 2016. He was born Sept. 6, 1924 to Benjamin Willard and Bertha June Greene in Minneapolis. Bluege graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis and served from 1942-1945 in the US Coast Guard aboard the USS Arthur Middleton. On Sept. 27, 1947 he married Jean Breole of Duluth. They made their home in Duluth where Bluege and Jean owned and operated Snow White Meats. They retired in 1988. Retirement was filled with relaxation and grandchildren. Bluege was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Isabella Vitalina Greene; his parents; and his sisters, Memory Roberts and Beverly Pickthorn. He is survived by his wife Jean; his children, Jim (Judy) Greene, Joe (Elena) Greene and Judy (Bruce) Nielsen; plus seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
