Obituary of Sam Lee

Sam Lee Our sweet and courageous son who had an infectious laugh and kind heart, big brother to Ada and Mae, lover of silly dogs, Curious George devotee, excellent driver, and collector of soft blankies passed away on March 14, 2016. He was 5. Diagnosed with brain cancer in 2013, Sam inspired thousands to rally around the cause of childhood cancer, and he inspired his parents to prioritize what matters most in life. At the end, when Sam's health was fading, his mother asked, "What can we do to make you happy, Sam?" Sam, with surprise in his voice, replied, "I am happy Mom." A memorial service in his honor will be held at the Lakewood Cemetery Chapel in Minneapolis, MN on Saturday, March 19th from 1:30-4:00 PM.
