Obituary of Gordon Gerald Dahl

Age 85 of Minneapolis. Passed away March 16, 2016. Gordy was preceded in death by son, Tom; brothers Don and Larry (Mary); sister Beverly (Alden) Sjoblom and brothers-in-law Richard and John Williams. Survived by wife of 52 years Ann; sons Gordy Jr (Erin), John (Shannon), Richard (Krissy); daughter Shelly (Shane) Kangas; daughter-in-law Kathy (Mike) Morneau; sister Dorothy (Rolland) Armstrong; sisters-in-law Reefa Dahl, Diane Williams, Mary (John) Ryan, Ruth (Don) Frechette; grandchildren Bridget (Ralph), Nick (Jordin), Missy, Joey, Cassandra, Brianna, Bella, Tommy, Paige; great grandson Easton; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Gordy’s greatest pleasures were spending time with family, playing cards, enjoying his wife’s cooking and telling stories. He loved being home. Gordy was a longtime carpet salesman and bowling enthusiast. Gordy is a member of the Minneapolis and Minnesota Bowling Halls of Fame. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Fairview Hospice (2450 26th Ave So, Mpls, MN 55406) are preferred. Memorial Gathering April 9, 2016 at The Cremation Society of Minnesota, Edina Chapel (Visitation- 1:00, Prayer Service and Eulogy- 2:00). Luncheon to follow at Richfield VFW 5555. Private interment at Fort Snelling.
