Obituary of Dolores Marilyn Meier
Dolores Marilyn (Lund) Meier 84 passed away peacefully on March 18th after a brief illness.
She was born on May 26th 1931 to Carl and Ruth Lund.
Dolores was married to Mike Meier on Aug. 28, 1954 in Elim Lutheran Church, Duluth.
Dolores graduated from Proctor High School in 1949 and attended Duluth Business University.
She was baptized and confirmed in Immanuel Lutheran Church of Proctor. She was a member of Elim Lutheran Church, Duluth and its fellowship club. As her children were growing up Dolores was proud to serve as a Brownie Troop leader and Cub Scout assistant.
Dolores excelled at entertaining and enjoyed any and all celebrations with her children and her extended Hanging Horn families.
Dolores was a gracious woman who was always thinking of others before herself.
Preceded in death by husband Mike; son Michael and brothers Donald and Russell Lund.
Survived by son Mark (Lonnie) Meier; daughters Mary (Keith) Carlson, Marcia (Michael) Bauman, Dr Melanie Meier; grandchildren Matthew (Jamie) Monette, William and Michaela Bauman; great-grandchildren Logan, Reed and Parker Monette; sisters-in-law Kathy Lund and Joyce Swanson.
Dolores cherished their life long cabin on Big Hanging Horn Lake and per her wishes her final celebration of life will be held at the cabin on memorial day weekend.
