Driscoll, William P. "Bill" "Mr. D." age 79 of Mpls., died June 2, 2018. Preceded in death by parents Louise (Peine) & Raymond Driscoll, Sr., life partner Jerry Johns; brother Ray Driscoll, Jr., his wife Monica; and brother-in-law Ron Sailer. Bill taught English at Burnsville High School for 30 years. He dedicated his life to serving others through Open Arms and the Archdiocesan AIDS Ministry, for which he received The McKnight Foundation Award in Human Services. Bill volunteered at St Stephen's Ministry, Dorothy Day and Arm In Arm in Africa. He will be remembered for his deep faith, compassion for others, and love of family and friends. Survived by his beloved sister Mary Sailer, many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, great grand nieces and nephews and many friends. Special thanks to the staff at The Glen in Hopkins, Park Nicollet Hospice, caregivers Amy and Rhonda during the last years he lived with Alzheimers. Thanks also to life long friend Fr. Ralph Goman, close friends Fr. Jim Cassidy, Chris Sader and Steve Ketcham and many other dear friends. Services will be held June 12 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Community 4537 3rd Ave. S., Mpls. 55419. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Visitation 1 hour prior. Private Internment at a later date.
