Obituary of Merlyn G. Bolander

Merlyn G. Bolander, 87, of Duluth passed away Friday March 25, 2016 At Viewcrest Nursing Home. Pete was born April 4, 1928 to the late John and Irene Bolander. He joined the United States Army and served over seas during World War II earning an honorable discharge. He was a member of the Teamsters union retiring from Duluth Ready Mix. Preceded in death by his wife Mickey; three brothers Darwin, Gordy, John; two sisters Joan, Athlyn; daughter Patricia Hanson and granddaughter Autumn Hanson. He is survived by one son Bradley (Peggy) Sager; step sons Michael (Sherry) Buetow, Dan (Theresa) Buetow; brother-in-law Ron (Sharon) Buetow; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Mike Ryan and the staff of Viewcrest. Per Petes wishes no services will be held. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
