Obituary of Duane L. Henneberg

Henneberg, Duane L. "Dewey" Age 82, of Eden Prairie passed away on June the 5th. Preceded in death by father Ray, mother Susie; Stepfather Roy; brothers, Kenney and Bernard; sisters Corrine, Avis. He is survived by Jane, his beloved wife of 56 years ; children, Duane (Duke) Jr, Lisa (David) Larson, and Keith (Nancy); Grandchildren Liza (Nate) Hanson, Madelyn ( Alex), Jack, Samuel and Joseph; Great grandson Easton (Hanson); brother Jerry (Judy); sisters Lois (Larson), Lorraine (Gillsrud). Dewey served in the Army and was a paratrooper. He had a full life well lived. He enjoyed a succesful 30 plus year career with Simplex Time Recorder Company. After retirement, Dewey was able to devote himself to his passions; Boating on the St.Croix and spending time with Jane. He adored his grandchildren and watching them grow up. Dewey was a kind, funny and warm person. He was a self-made man who remained grounded. He remained close to friends from his childhood and will be remembered fondly by the many people he and Jane befriended over the years. The family will hold a small closed service, with a Celebration of Life to come later this summer.
