Obituary of GLYNDORA CATHERINE BROWN

Glyndora Catherine Brown, 91, longtime resident of Duluth passed away peacefully Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016. She was born Nov. 22, 1924 in Aitkin, Minn., to Emil and Rose Erlandson. Glyndora was a graduate of Aitkin High School and on May 9, 1946 she married Douglas D. Brown. Glyndora was a longtime member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and volunteered for several places in Duluth including the hospitals, nursing homes and Meals on Wheels. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas; a son, Chris; and several brothers and sisters. Glyndora is survived by her children, Dan (Cheryl) of Esko, Peggy (Allen) Thomas of Duluth, Fawn (Larry) Nelson of Duluth, Penny (Jim) Whiteside of Superior and Scott of Floodwood; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; her sister, Joyce Corrigan of St. Cloud; many other relatives and friends. GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial Mass Wednesday, Aug. 10, in St. Michael's Catholic Church, 4901 E.
