Obituary of Rose Lundquist
Rose Lundquist, age 81, of Menahga, MN, formerly of Bloomington, MN, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 8, 2016. Born in Lake City, Minnesota, and grew up in River Falls, Wisconsin. The youngest of 3 children to Eunice and Edwin Borner. Graduated from Abbott Hospital Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Rose met and married John Lundquist and together raised 5 children. Rose loved sports, sewing, gardening, fishing and being at “the cabin” with family. Rose and John attended their first Cursillo in 1980 and experienced a spiritual rebirth of their faith in Christ. After serving on numerous Cursillo weekends, Rose first volunteered as a Coordinator, and then was employed by the Minnesota Lutheran Cursillo Organization, as John continued to participate. John and Rose relocated permanently to Duck Lake, and Rose expanded her gardening and coordinated the church Prayer Chain for a number of years. Preceded in death by her husband, John. Survived by children, Tom (Laurie), David, Brian (Lynne), Wendy, and Karen; grandchildren, Melissa, Emily, Ben (Aubrie), Marie, Kate, Wesley, Reese and Lydia; great-granddaughter, Kaelyn. Rose was a faithful and beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a hard-working, diligent servant to her family, husband and church. She and Dad left us a tremendous legacy of faith, love and service to others.
