Obituary of Robert Louis Gray

Robert Louis Gray, 88, of Duluth, Minn. passed away on April 13, 2016. Robert was born on Sept. 5, 1927 in Highland Park, Mich. (Wayne County) to Louis and Lillian Gray. Robert served two terms in the United States Navy during World War II. He married Evelyn Hildur Braier on Nov. 24, 1951 in Duluth, where they would continue to live and raise their family. Robert was preceded in death by his father Louis (1932); mother Lillian (1971); sister Dorothy Ann Ryan (1995); and a granddaughter, Melissa Maree Jeanetta (1985). Robert is survived by his wife Evelyn Hildur Braier; his six children Linda Anne (Rick) DeKeyser of Wisconsin, Pamela Jean (Jeff) Gray-Hann of Colorado, Daniel Louis (Sheila) of Colorado, Wendy Maree (Russ) Krook of Minnesota, Robert Jon of Minnesota, and Diana Lynn (Steve) Greif of Iowa; and his 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. SERVICE: 1 p.m. on Monday, April 18, in First Memorial Funeral Chapel, Duluth, with visitation at noon. Burial at Park Hill Cemetery, Duluth. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Duluth Depot or Seeds of Hope Youth Ranch. Arrangements entrusted to First Memorial Chapel, Duluth.
