Obituary of Shirley A. Shockey

In loving memory of Shirley A. Shockey, age 83, of Hinkley, MN, who passed peacefully on Dec 28, 2024. Shirley was born in Minneapolis, MN, to William & Ruth Mellessey; the oldest of 8 children. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn Kelley and her many beloved dogs and cats.

Shirley is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 35 years, William Shockey, daughters, Teresa and Nancy Kelley, sons, Brian Hasti (Valerie) and Boyd Hansen; her 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, along with many nieces/nephews and friends.

We will miss your kind heart, loving soul, beautiful smile, and wonderful laugh that always lit up the room because of your amazing sense of humor. The joy you brought to all of us and to those that were part of your story will always be cherished and live on in our hearts forever..

A celebration of life for Shirley will be held in the summer of 2025.
