Obituary of Robert David Christopher

Christopher, Robert David Age 46 of Minneapolis died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Born March 12th, 1970 – Died April 16th, 2016. Robert was born in Waterloo, Iowa on March 12, 1970 to Richard “Dick” Christopher and Sylvia “Joyce” Haugen. Robert graduated with Honors from Merritt Island High School in 1988. He received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida in 1993. He married Debra Barnes on September 25, 1993 in Plymouth, Minnesota. They later divorced. He married Aaron Crenshaw his partner of 15 years, on April 18, 2014 in Minneapolis. He worked for Wells Fargo (Norwest) for 23 years. Robert was an excellent student and a talented artist. He loved to cook and he loved to sing. He was a loyal and true friend, a kind-hearted gentle joyful soul who brought laughter into the hearts of those he loved. He had the rare gift of allowing others the comfort of being their true selves when they were blessed to spend time with him. “Wherever a beautiful soul has been there is a trail of beautiful memories…” He is survived by loving husband, Aaron Crenshaw; mother, Joyce Haugen of Merritt Island, Florida; brothers, Rick (Pam) Christopher of Janesville, Iowa and Randy Christopher of Nashua, Iowa; seven nieces and nephews, Tara Kieffer, Jeremy (Lindsey) Kieffer, Alicia Kieffer-Hall, Brittany (Ryan) Wegner, Mitchell (Nicole) Christopher, Destiny Christopher, and Victor Christopher. He was preceded in death by his father, Dick Christopher of Cedar Falls, Iowa; step-father, Davis Haugen of Merritt Island, Florida; sister, Cynthia Kieffer of Waterloo, Iowa. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 23rd, 11:00 am at St. Mark’s Cathedral, 519 Oak Grove St, Minneapolis, MN 55403. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
