Sharon Lee Mortrud (Lindell) age 82, of Otsego, MN, died December 04, 2024. Born on November 26, 1942 to Cornettie (Barka) and Reuben Lindell in Minneapolis, MN. She was a 1960 graduate of West High and graduated from Augsburg in 1964. She had a long career in teaching and educational administration, retiring from Osseo School District 279 in 1997. She and husband David moved to their dream home, a log cabin in Park Rapids, MN on Lake Shipman where they raised honey bees, had a huge garden, loved being outdoors and hosting family and friends. While in Park Rapids, Sharon was involved in many activities with Calvary Lutheran Church and St. Joseph Hospital and still found time to travel the world seeing all its wonderful, beautiful sights with her travel partner Marylen. She certainly lived by her motto, “Do more of what makes you happy!” Sharon moved to Maple Grove, MN in 2016, again involved in her church St. Philip the Deacon (Plymouth). In 2023, Sharon moved to Otsego, MN to be closer to her daughter. Sharon passed away peacefully, from complications of dementia, while holding the hand of her daughter, Kris.
Sharon had a strong relationship with God her entire life and is now celebrating eternal life and effortless Joy in Heaven with family and friends who have gone before.
