Obituary of Rev. Ronald Pechauer

Ronald Pechauer was born August 29, 1937, in Milwaukee, WI. He was the son of Peter and Claudia (Hagen) Pechaur. Died December 4, 2024, in Apple Valley, MN. Graduated from Pulaski High School (1955), St. Olaf College (1959) and Luther Theological Seminary (1963).

Married Rachel Mandsager June 2, 1961. Ordained into the ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church June 2, 1963. Served parishes in Kunesh, WI (Peace) and Little Suamico, WI (St. John’s), Austin, MN (St. Olaf), Farmington, MN (Farmington Lutheran), Hayward, WI (First Lutheran), Stevens Point, WI (Trinity), Brookfield, WI (Calvary) and Sun City, AZ (Shepherd of the Desert ).

He was Director of Church Relations at St. Olaf College and has since served on the Alumni Board and Fund Board of St. Olaf College.

Survived by wife Rachel, daughters Sara Pechauer and Lisa (David) Jensen, grandsons Soren Jensen and Bjorn Jensen, and brother Marshall (Martha) Pechauer.

Preceded in death by sister Caryl Pechauer, infant son (1963), and parents.

Service will be Friday, December 13, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Farmington Lutheran Church with visitation starting at 12:30 PM along with a gathering for fellowship and refreshments after, 20060 Akin Road, Farmington MN.
