Obituary of William J. Sutherland

William J. Sutherland, 73, passed away at St. Lukes Hospital on April 18, 2016, surrounded by family and friends. Bill was born in Duluth to Arthur and Agnes (Krall) Sutherland. He was a graduate of Denfeld High School. Served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1961-1965. He worked for Plumbers/Steamfitters Local 11 from 1978-1999. Bill enjoyed fishing, camping, carpentry and gardening. Bill was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by loving wife and best friend Audrey Sutherland; siblings Rosie (Dan), Jerry (Barb), Jim (Sharon), Brenda (Jerry) and Bob (Beth); children Steve (Carrie), Debbie, Bill (Heidi) and Marie (Derek); stepchildren Randy (Tracy), Dan (Heather) and Tina (Tyrone); 9 grandchildren and special friends Bob and Barb Sundin and Clyde and Brenda Royer. The family would like to thank St. Luke's Hospice for their care for Bill. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 12 noon April, 29, 2016 with Chaplain Tab Baumgartner officiating, a luncheon to follow until 4pm, at American Legion Post 71, 5814 Grand Avenue Duluth, MN.
