Obituary of Linda Sofiann Boen
Linda Sofiann Boen, 74, passed awayMonday December 2 2024 at 2:10AM at Essential Health in Duluth, Mn..She was visited prior to her passing by all ofher family members and relatives telling her of the love they had for her.
Linda was born August 18, 1950 in Minneapolis, Mn. to Irving and Edith Anderson. Linda loved the wilderness home we had and never wanted to leave. Her words were "Why leave the most beautiful place on earth surrounded by nature". She was the most caring and giving person I have ever known.
Linda married Larry Boen (to which I am forever grateful) on November 25, 1972. To me it was love at first sight and I knew I wanted to marry her. When I asked her she turned me down. But I got lucky and convinced her later. And I was and am so grateful for the 52 plus years we spent together moving around the country and raising our family. I believe we moved 17 times before settling for a life in the woods!
And aside from the numerous jobs she had, the last being at the Lake Superior Trading Post in Grand Marais, Mn. which she worked and poured her heart out to for 35 years giving her all to the beautiful displays and work there. She taught Sunday school when the kids were growing up and distilled her good beliefs in our kids and others.
Linda is survived by her children; Alethea Boen (Leif Simpson), and Jarod Boen (Jill); grandchildren;Logan Simpson, Laila Simpson,Sofi Boen, Emma Boen, and Landon Boen; sisters Cheryl (Skip) Stewart, Judy (Jerry) Lawson, Nancy (Greg) Waalen, and Becky(Terry) Waalen. She was preceded in death by parents Irving and Edith Anderson, her brothers Steven Anderson, and Jeffrey Anderson.
Linda will always be remembered for her beauty, kind sweetness, patience, and the swede that came out occasionally.
A Celebration of Life will bescheduled in the future
