Obituary of Barbara "Barb" L. Kleineck
Barbara "Barb" L. Kleineck
Gramma Barbie, 82, spent her final days surrounded by family and close friends and received her angel wings on November 26th with her daughter and grandchildren by her side. Barb grew up in West St. Paul and was a long-time member of Augustana Lutheran Church, where she loved to make prayer shawls for those experiencing a life changing event. She was Gramma Barbie to many kids besides her own and loved each one of them! Barb loved to create with her hands and was often found knitting, crocheting, or baking; she was known for her homemade creations and took pride in her banana bread, assortment of Christmas cookies and candies, and the fact that she never dyed her hair. Barb is survived by her son Chris and family, loving daughter Cathy (Randy) Hendrikson, her pride and joys, Zach (Jenna) and Katie Hendrikson, great grandchildren and Friday visitors Henry & Nellie Hendrikson, brother John (Carol) Jacobsen, and sister Suzanne Bruggman. Preceded in death by her parents, Fritz & Bessie Jacobsen and brother Dave “Butch” Jacobsen. A Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday, December 10th, 4:30pm-6:30pm at Augustana Lutheran Church in West St Paul. A light dinner will be served.
A special thank you to the care team on Unit 3300 at United Hospital, especially nurses Rachel, Allie, Kalli, Maddie, DJ, and Chaplain Cynthia. Your loving care for both Barb and her family were second to none!
