Obituary of Florence Telin
Florence M “Flossie” Telin passed away peacefully the evening of November 21, 2024, in New Perspective, Cloquet. She was born in 1935 to Anthony and Olga (Zeleznikar) Berdice and raised in Aurora, MN.
Flossie met John Telin while working as a waitress at Bradach’s Café in Aurora. They married in 1954 and moved to Duluth where they raised a daughter, Susan, and son Daniel. She worked for Maurices in their Distribution Center helping the company grow from one store to over 500 before she left. Later, she was a book distributor to Walmart, Target, Kmart and others.
She had an adventuresome and competitive spirit that brought lifelong fun – from winning the Blue Ribbon from the Minnesota State Fair for homemade Potica with her best friend at age 16, to bocce ball, volleyball, card club, boggle, extensive travel, and the annual Aurora 4 th of July celebration where she connected with friends and family. Summers were filled with grandsons’ visits and gardening.
Flossie was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, sisters Antoinette, Barbara, and brother Timo. She is survived by her daughter Susan (Marty Hooper), Canby, OR, son Daniel, Duluth, grandsons Tyler (Tess), Travis (Alyssa), great grandchildren Colt, Easton, and Natalie as well as sister Roberta and many nieces and nephews.

A service will be held at Cremation Society of Minnesota on Friday, December 6, at 12:00 noon
