Mr. DeVargas, sir, you will be missed. I have always addressed you as such in mock terror of your intimidating bearing. You and your family have always shown me an abundance of kindness over the years. I have always felt welcome in your home, happy to hear your thoughts on an assortment of topics. Your absence will be noticed, but thank you for the cherished memories you leave behind.
Although I can not easily drop by, like when you were in California, thankfully technology can close the distance. My heart goes out to the DeVargas family during this difficult time. You are in my heart and prayers.
