Obituary of Jeffrey John Soule, Jr.

Jeffrey John Soule, Jr. (Jay)
1973 - 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jeffrey John Soule, Jr. (Jay), a beloved husband, father, brother, son, and friend who left us after a brave battle with cancer and entered into the presence of Jesus on November 12th, 2024. Jay was 51 years old.

Jay grew up on Lake Minnetonka and devoted his life to serving the lake community that he loved. He was the owner of Al & Alma’s Supper Club and Charters and Tonka Bay Marina. Jay found great enjoyment from showing everyone the beauty of the lake, whether it was cruising on the lake as a charter boat captain, greeting guests at the Supper Club, or assisting customers at the Marina. He served others selflessly, always willing to provide help to anyone on or off the lake, whenever help was needed.

Jay’s love for the lake was matched only by his love of the mountains and alpine skiing. When the boating season was over, Jay coached for various ski programs including the Westonka Alpine ski team, Skijammers, and Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) and enjoyed lots of time on the slopes with his family.

Jay attended Woodridge Church and served as a leader on the music team for over 30 years. He loved leading worship and serving Jesus through his musical gifts.

Jay loved God and loved people. He will be deeply missed by his wife Jenna, son Connor, daughter, Alli, sister Lissa (Charlie) Hirt, sister Chrissy (Brett) Johnson, brother Kevin (Lori) Soule, mother Ginny Garlock, and father Jeff Soule, as well as his extended family, his employees, and so many individuals he impacted throughout his life.

A Visitation will be held on Friday evening, November 22 from 6pm - 8pm at Woodridge Church, 1500 County Road 24, Medina. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, November 23 at 11am at Woodridge Church. Visitation will begin at 10am and lunch will be served following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jay’s memory to Woodridge Churchthe LMCD Save the Lake Fund, or the ASEA (American Snowsports Education Association) Central Education Foundation.
