Obituary of Larry John Rein

Lifelong resident of Duluth, Larry John Rein, age 72 died on November 15th, 2024.  He was born on May 7th, 1952 to parents Ronald and Dorothy Rein. 

Larry was a 1970 graduate of Duluth Central High School and worked at Cenex Harvest States in Superior, Wisconsin for 44 years. 

He is survived by his wife of almost 52 years Linda (Hammer) Rein, Daughters Jody (Chris) P’Simer, Chanda (Andrew) Futey, Grandsons Aidan P’Simer, Calvin Futey, Ryan Futey and Ryder P’Simer, Sister Carol (Dr. Rainer) Rocheleau, Father-in-Law Ronald Hammer, Sisters-in-Law Laurie (Phil) Gaudino and Lisa Hammer, several nieces & nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Randy Rein and Gary Rein and Mother-in-Law Naomi Hammer.

The family would like to thank Dr. Sanford, Dr. Silva-Benedict and the wonderful, caring nurses and staff at St. Lukes Cancer Center. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Friday November 22nd at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave, Duluth with a visitation beginning at 10am.
