Lorie Eileen Ericson Obituary

Lorie passed away peacefully on November 6, 2024 with family by her side.

She was courageous and cheerful through many years experiencing the effects of dementia. Lorie was a loving wife, mother and cherished friend. She led a kind and compassionate life bringing beauty to everything she touched.

She earned degrees in elementary education and art history from the University of Minnesota. Her compassion was expressed through volunteer work with Bread for the World and Habitat for Humanity. She spent rewarding time teaching art to troubled and special needs children. Lorie was a talented artist who loved painting, sketching, color and design. Family and friends enjoyed the home environments she created with her own art and wonderful colors and furnishings.

Lorie was sought out by those who needed to share their life experiences. Her empathy, kind heart and willingness to listen brought comfort to many. Lorie was a gentle soul. We trust that her Savior, Jesus Christ, will welcome Lorie with love and open arms.

She is survived by husband Jeffrey, son Paul, grandchildren Hannah and Ethan, siblings William Kueffner, Dana Kueffner, Kurt Kueffner and Suzanne Burr, along with an extended community of loving family and friends.
