Obituary of Andrea Gotz
Andi was a special person, one of a kind. She lit up the room when she arrived and she owned that room too. She loved many things; cooking, entertaining, traveling, learning new things, playing games and family, to name a few.
She was generous, creative, caring, thoughtful and had a true appreciation of living life. Anything she did she did 110%. She would watch 9 hours of cooking shows every Saturday to hone her cooking skills and she was always the first to discover the latest new restaurant. Vacation planning is something she enjoyed as much as the vacation itself, finding the most obscure and unique things to do that would take the vacation over the top. The most recent trip was to Oktoberfest in Germany. Family was so important to her, putting family and entertaining together is why she loved the holidays so much, especially Christmas.
As a friend of Matt's once observed about Andi "she's playing chess and we are all playing checkers" while never making you feel like you were playing a different game.
After a five year battle with cancer Andrea (Andi) is in a better place where the pain and suffering is over.
Her celebration of life will be Saturday November 16th from 1-3 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota in Edina.
Please think of a story about Andi to share. There will be time for sharing them starting at 2:00. We would really appreciate hearing additional thoughts about Andi and how she impacted you.
