Obituary of Richard James Klaus

Richard “Dick” James Klaus, age 81, of Hayward,Wisconsin, passed away on November 3, 2024 after a short battle with cancer. Dick was born in Racine,Wisconsin in December of1942. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Wisconsin Whitewater.

Dick was married to Gail Klaus for 38 years before her untimely passing in 2001.

Dick was passionate about three things in life: his family, golf and getting the next deal. He could easily recall a fantastic shot he made 35 years ago from the fairway with his 5-wood that landed 3 feet from the pin.

It is a well-known fact that Direct TV and Dish Network have recently established practices based on Dick’s insistence to play them against each other.

Finally, Dick loved to spend time with his 3 sons: Joe (Susan) Klaus of Omaha, Nebraska; John (Karen) Klaus of Granville,Ohio, grandchildren: Jack, Sam and Drew Klaus; and Ed Klaus (Will Nacor) of San Francisco, California.
