Obituary of Charlotte Bieganski

Charlotte Bieganski, aged 92, of Grand Rapids, MN passed away peacefully on November 4th, 2024. Charlotte was born and raised in Waterville, Maine and spent many summers traveling by train to visit her father in Boston, where her love of the Red Sox began.

Char, trained to be an Olympic swimmer prior to joining the Navy. During her time in the Navy, Char would meet her beloved husband of 65 years, Arlen Bieganski. Charlotte became a devoted mother to their two children and moved across the country multiple times while Arlen continued his career in the Navy. She was quite the hostess and loved having their friends over for garden parties and gatherings. After Arlen retired from the Navy, they moved their family to Grand Rapids, MN where they found their home on Deer Lake. Char loved to take her grandchildren swimming and would often wake them up early to tread water and show off her impeccable swimming skills. She enjoyed her years at the lake and enjoyed spending time with friends golfing, bowling, and playing bridge. In recent years, Charlotte and Arlen moved in with their daughter in Breezy Point, MN. Char loved spending more time with her family and making many new friends. As her health deteriorated, she moved to Grand Village in Grand Rapids, Mn with Arlen right across the hall.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Charles Moulton, Mildred Brillard, and brother, Warren ‘Brad’ Moulton.

Everyone who knew Charlotte cherished her witty personality, which was highlighted by her Maine accent. She will be deeply missed by her son Glenn Bieganski (Jan), daughter Deborah Bieganski, grandchildren Meranda Gonska (Joe), Andrew Bieganski, Jamie Drewlow (Jordan), and great-grandchild Khloe Thorson, and numerous step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Deer River Vets Club at a later date.
