Obituary of Michael Martin Doll
Michael "Mike" Martin Doll, fondly known as "Doller," passed away unexpectedly on October 30, 2024, at the age of 55, surrounded by his beloved family. Born on January 30, 1969, Mike grew up in Bloomington, Minnesota. He graduated from Bloomington Kennedy High School in 1987, where he played football and baseball. He earned his degree in Accounting from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities. For 22 years, he served as CFO and co-owner of Mobile-Link Communications, where he was driven by a commitment to providing telecom solutions to businesses, local governments, and nonprofits across Minnesota. Prior to this, he co-owned Tradition Valet, Inc., where for 11 years he supported the entertainment service industry. Mike was known to everyone he met as patient, kind, humble, and selfless. His happiest times were spent with his family and friends whether he was playing softball with his buddies, or being on the lake with his family. Mike was also an amazing athlete throughout his life and later on brought this passion to coaching his kids and attending all of their sports games. He loved spending time at the cabin in Garrison, fishing, hunting, or cooking up big dinners every single Sunday. His faith was central to his life being baptized and confirmed in the Atonement Lutheran Church in Bloomington. He was also a committed member of both Shepherd of the Valley where he married the love of his life, Kristen, in 2000, and Hosanna Lutheran Church in Lakeville. He leaves behind his loving wife, Kristen (Nokleby) Doll; children, Katie and Kyle; his mother, Mardy Doll; and his sister, Michelle (Randy) Asmus along with a niece, many nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Mel Doll, and other relatives with whom he now reunites in peace. A celebration of Mike’s life will be held on November 12, 2024, at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Lakeville. Visitation will begin at 10 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11 AM, with a reception to follow. Mike's legacy of kindness, laughter, and love will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
