Obituary of Barbara Lee Cecil

Barbara was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on June 5, 1932, to Juanita and James Stroud. 

She was an avid gardener and adored her pets, especially her dog Maggie. She played piano and loved to sing with her family.  

Barbara worked for the Internal Revenue services, as well as Lutheran Social Services for a number of years, but greatly enjoyed her seasonal career at local garden stores. She enjoyed playing cards with her family, friends and neighbors. She had a great sense of humor, was kind, and loved to laugh. She had a big heart and could make friends with anyone she met. She will be dearly missed! 

Barbara is survived by Children, Jim (Kim) Cecil, Teri Tanberg and Merle. Grandchildren, Matt, Shanna, Ash, Kayla, Sean, and Jason. Step-Grandchildren, Lea and Ian. Great-Grandchildren, Aviana, Aaliyah, Mekhi, Lucas, and June. 

Celebration of Life will be held on November 14, 2024, from 4-7PM at Cremation Society of Minnesota in Edina at 7110 France Ave South. Public visitation will begin at 4PM with a Service following at 5:30.
