Obituary of Charles E Svihel

Charles Edward (Chuck) Svihel passed away at 81 years on October 28, 2024 after declining from Alzheimers over a number of years. Born on January 18, 1943 to parents Stanley and Sylvia Svihel, Chuck (nicknamed Skip) grew up in Hopkins, MN.

Chuck was an elementary teacher in the Minneapolis School system for 40 years, with focus on math. He was often asked to work with the most challenging students because he related to them so well. Chuck enjoyed exercising and worked out every day throughout his life, until he entered Memory Care.

Chuck was preceded in death by parents Stanley and Sylvia Svihel and his beloved dog Benji. He is survived by ex-wife Pamela Svihel, son Chad Svihel (wife Utako Gotoh), grandchildren Elizabeth and Noah Svihel (mother Christine Svihel), daughter Sunnie Miller, grandchildren Dallas, Brianna, Lotus Miller, ex-wife Donna Moritz and her daughter Theresa Koch, brothers James (wife Carole) Svihel and David (wife Sharon) Svihel, plus nieces and nephews.
