Obituary of Gerald D. Petit

Gerald “Jerry” D. Petit, age 68, of Apple Valley, died April 21, 2016. Jerry was a member of the Bricklayer’s and Allied Craftsmen Local Union #1. One of Jerry’s proudest moments was illustrating the book “Made in God’s Image.” He was preceded in death by father, Duane Petit and friends, Mildred Broich and Bob Rigdon. Survived by closest friend, Ardie Broich, her sister, Sharon Rigdon and her brother, David (Elaine) Broich; mother, Lois; sister, Jeanne (Tom) Nordland; twin sister, Sharon “Sherry” Lorentson; brother, John (Jami) and nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Church of St. Bonaventure, 901 E. 90th St., Bloomington. Visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, May 9, 2016 at church and one hour prior to Mass, Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Church of St. Bonaventure.
