Obituary of Austin David Pavlak

Austin David Pavlak, born January 5th 2000, passed away in a tragic accident on October 20th 2024 at age 24. He was surrounded by some of his dearest loved ones in his final moments.

Austin was born in Fridley and lived his whole life in the Twin Cities area. As someone who naturally excelled at everything he tried, he had a lot of hobbies and made a legion of friends from those endeavors. His favorite pastimes included gaming, being in nature, cars, motorcycles, snowboarding, going on adventures and eating great food with his loved ones.

Austin's love for vehicles was well known, which is why he chose to pursue a career as an automotive technician. He was always willing to help people with their cars, friends, family and neighbors. He was a kind and helpful person who thought of others and would drop everything to be there when you needed him. Even if you just needed someone to listen, he was there for you.

Austin was fortunate to have so many people in his life that loved him. He was self driven, open minded, intelligent, highly respectful, had integrity, and was very protective of those he held closest. He wanted nothing but the best for his loved ones. He had a big heart, it is how he was able to be a best friend to many. He made everyone feel safe. It's understandable why he held such a special place in countless people's hearts.

His smile and wicked sense of sarcasm has brought joy to others since he was young. He was a very loving brother to all and will be missed beyond words by his family and friends.

Austin is survived by his parents dad Jeffery Pavlak (fiancée Darla DeGidio), mom Carrie Sghezia (fiancé Steve McGibbon), his siblings Dakota Nord (spouse Kaida Gonzales-Moore), Olivia Pavlak, Anthony Sghezia, Brian Pavlak (spouse Amanda Pavlak, kids Gracie, Bennet, Camden), Tiffany Pavlak (spouse Adrian Gutierrez, kids Aubrey,  Amaiya, Ayden, Axel), his grandparents Gary and Sally Shaffer, Joseph (passed) and Bernadine Pavlak as well as numerous extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be open to the public at Acacia Park Cemetery on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 3-5 PM
