Obituary of Dan Darrell Wendt Jr.

Dan Darrell Wendt Jr, 40, of Spring Lake Park, MN, went to be with his Lord early in the morning of October 8, 2024. His wife Amber and mom Penny were by his side. He was born November 1, 1983, to Dan Wendt and Penny Button in Detroit Lakes, MN. Many knew him as DJ. He loved riding his dirt bike, fishing and hunting. DJ married Amber (Grangruth) September 22, 2012. DJ has two boys, Isaac and Levi, whom he loved dearly. He enjoyed playing basketball and football with them. DJ was a truck driver for 17 years. The Minnesota Vikings were his all-time favorite team, and he never missed a game! Preceded in death by his grandparents Darrell and Darlene Wendt, Carol Anderson, cousin Jeremy Harstad and his Uncle Kim Harstad. He will be missed dearly by his loving wife Amber, children Isaac and Levi; parents Dan, Penny, Shane (Stepdad), Aunts Wendy and Heidi; as well as many families and friends. A service will be held at Living Springs Church (8001 University Ave Ne, Spring Lake Park, MN 55432) on Saturday, November 9th from 11-12 with a lunch to follow.
