Obituary of Bonnie Marie Wilcox (Johnson)

Bonnie Marie Wilcox (Johnson), born on June 30, 1941, passed away at home on October 23, 2024 in Foreston, MN after a courageous battle with cancer. Bonnie was formerly of Ramsey & Minneapolis, MN.

Bonnie grew up on a farm near Litchfield, MN with her grandparents, until the age of 10 when the family moved to Minneapolis, MN.

Bonnie attended Minneapolis North High School and was a 1959 graduate. There she met her husband, George Wilcox. They were married on June 30, 1962. Together they had 3 children.

Bonnie worked in banking and customer service and retired from Minnegasco. After retirement her most rewarding work was caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bonnie loved her family and friends fiercely and always put them before herself.

Bonnie found immense joy in attending her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s sporting events, recitals, and school events, proudly cheering them on.

Her other passions were camping, reading, puzzles, dolls, dollhouses, and discovering hidden treasures at thrift stores and garage sales, often sharing her finds with those she loved. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother Vivian Cramer (Johnson), grandparents Cleora & Ernest Johnson, siblings Richard Johnson, Clifford Johnson, David Johnson, Donald Johnson, Ethel Peterson, Shirley Tipka, Audrey Tipka, Gloria Finneman & Marian Moran, sister-in-laws Nancy Cramer, Betty Johnson, Sharon Miller, brother-in laws Harry Tipka, Leroy Tipka, Ambrose Finneman and many other family & friends.

Those left here to honor her life & love are her husband George of 62 years; 3 children, Kristin Hoeke,

Jay Wilcox and Mark Wilcox; 4 grandchildren, Sara Rivers (Sam), Rachel Hoeke, Anna Hoeke, Amber

Hoeke (Sheriff); 8 great grandchildren, Rylan, Reese, Kendra, Dominic, Lexi, Raylee, Maleeyah & Ellieana;

brothers Robert Johnson (Kay), Jeff Cramer, Randy Cramer (Mary), Jim Cramer (Diane), sister Barb Stelton (Al) brother-in-law Joe Moran, Lee (Palmer) Wilcox, Robert Wilcox, sisters-in-law Barb Johnson, Avis Johnson, Joyce Johnson, Kathie (Danny) O’Flanagan, Anne (Bill) Martichuski, LuAnn Wilcox and many other family & friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 on Sat Nov. 2, 2024. Visitation 1 hour prior at 12:00; at
