Obituary of David Lee Clyne

David Lee Clyne of Princeton MN: Born January 12, 1944 - Died October 9, 2024

Born to Charles and Margaret in Monett, Missouri. Dave was a devoted Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather.  Dave graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1962, after he attended Dunwoody Institute and received a degree in machining.  Dave was a gifted machinist; he started his career at Mereen-Johnson in Minneapolis and then to Control Data in Plymouth. In the early 80s Dave turned his passion into a 25-year career as an instructor at Hennepin Technical College in Brooklyn Park where he sent hundreds of new machinists into the world.

After Dave retired, he spent his time, gardening, playing lumberjack, creating copper artwork, helping his family, and spending time at the cabin.

Dave had a passion for fishing, hunting, repairing, and building.  Dave could repair anything mechanical, and he could build anything with a precision that only a machinist could appreciate. He was a true outdoorsman, he passed on those values along to his sons, grandchildren, and countless others as a firearms safety instructor.  Dave was a marksman as well, a staple on Thursday night combo league where he helped amass many a trophy for the Willey’s Trapshooting team.

Proceeded in death by his parents. Dave is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mikki; their sons Mike (Tina), Rick (Kim).  His brother John. (Dawn) Grandchildren and their spouses:  Katie and Frank Brodeen, Erin and Michael Cave, Katie and Bubba Szenay, Amy and Jeremy Belisle; Lee and Molly Clyne.  Great grandchildren; Brooks, Ameila, Sally, 2 more on the way, Sister’s in-law Patti (Gerry) Paige, Barb Littman, and Many Nieces and Nephews.

Dave will be missed yet he will live on in our hearts.
