Tony Boettcher

Obituary of Tony Jay Boettcher

This world could no longer contain Tony’s gentle, loyal and creative spirit. Tony was a talented artist, craftsman, and music-loving adventurer. He lived his life on his own terms and left for his next adventure with that same attitude. If you were lucky to know Tony you knew how very cool and special he was.

Preceded by his grandparents: Avis Boettcher, Doris Kleindl, LuVerne Thompson, Bernard Kleindl; friend, Patrick Alexander; and pups, Rocky and Piney.

Survived by his wife, Michael Van Dyke; parents, JoEllen and Brian Boettcher; siblings, Daniel (Lindsey) Boettcher and Kelly (Matt) DeVinny; grandfather, Vernon Boettcher;  in-laws, Rickie and Kevin Van Dyke; Amber (Ryan) Krebs, Joshua, Caleb and Levi Van Dyke; nieces and nephews, Kiya, Kole, McKenzie, Harper, Briar, Cameron, and Evan; pup, Obie; and a whole host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

A celebration of life reception will be held Friday, October 18 from 2-5p at the Cremation Society of Minnesota Edina Chapel, 7110 France Avenue, Edina, MN 55435.

To honor his memory, have a beer at your local brewery and please donate to Save the Boundary Waters (savetheboundarywaters.org), or the National Park Conservation Association (npca.org).

Please feel free to leave your thoughts and memories on the Tribute wall link to your left.
