Obituary of Misty Marie Lobeck

Misty Marie (Looft) Lobeck passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024 after a courageous fight with cancer.

Misty was born on March 18, 1978 to Dale and Gail Looft in Spirit Lake, Iowa. She graduated from Montgomery – Lonsdale High School in 1996. She participated in band playing the clarinet and earned the honor of be chosen to participate All State Band her senior year.

Misty's amazing memory and gift of organization allowed her to become a valuable team member in the materials department at St. Francis Hospital in Shakopee, MN for 22 years.

She married Jim Lobeck on March 21, 2020. They enjoyed a very active life together.

Misty and Jim were very active in Al-Anon and developed a close circle of friends.

Misty's free time was spent traveling, listening to music and going to events as often as she could, especially air shows and watching “Top Gun”. She loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephew.

Her loving, caring manner and sense of humor will be missed by all those who love her.

Misty is survived by her husband Jim Lobeck of Minneapolis, parents Gail and Dale Looft, brothers Mike (Katie) of St Peter, MN, Tyler (Sherri) of Marshall, MN and nieces Hailey and Riley and nephew Tristan.

She is preceded in death by maternal grandparents John and Seraphine McCarty and paternal grandparents Verle and Beverly Looft.

Services will be held at 10AM on Saturday October 19, 2024 at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montgomery, MN. Visitation an hour before the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations made will be sent to the American Cancer Society by the family.
