Obituary of Bernice M Erb

It is with heavy hearts that we share of the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother Bernice Marie Erb who peacefully joined her heavenly family on Sept 30, 2024 at the age of 99.

Born to Louis and Amelia Prochaska on June 13, 1925 in Heidelberg, MN. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Montgomery High School in 1943. She married Don Erb in 1947, where they then settled in Richfield, MN in 1950 to raise their family.

Bernice loved big celebrations, traveling, reading, gardening, baking and preparing Thanksgiving dinner for her big family. Her most cherished time was any time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband Don, sons Dave and Billy, son-in-law Frank Holley, daughter-in-law Linda Erb, parents and siblings Mickey, Evelyn, Connie, Betty and Allie.

She is survived by her children Joanne Holley, Steve (Corrine) Erb, Mike (Joette) Erb, Larry (Karen) Erb, Jon (Amy) Erb, Julie (Paul) Vogelgesang, Jenny (Shane) Bermel, her 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren (and one on the way.)

 

A funeral service will be held on October 11, 2024 beginning with a 10AM Visitation followed by an 11AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Richard's Catholic Church 7540 Penn Ave S. Richfield 55423. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Bernice's life and share cherished memories. Memorials preferred to Brighton Hospice.

 

Special thanks to Mom's caregivers Brooke, Ivory, Ericka, Amanda, Aija and Jessica. Your compassion and support will never be forgotten!
