Obituary of Sharon Lee Schmidt

Sharon Lee Schmidt, 83, passed away on October 3, 2024, in Brooklyn Center. Born on January 20, 1941, she lived a life marked by kindness and a nurturing spirit that touched everyone she met.

Sharon was known for being the most caring individual, kind and compassionate, always putting others before herself.

She leaves behind a loving family: her spouse Fred, with whom she married in 1958 and created a family. Their children, Mike, Linda, Jerry, and Jim along with her grandchildren, Dan, Nicole, Brittney, Crystal, Ellen, and Ethan, and great-grandchildren, Danielle, Aubrey, Kiing, Bobbie, and Kelly, will miss her dearly. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Laura with whom she is so happy to be with again.

Throughout her life, Sharon found joy in gardening, traveling, and making annual visits to the lake and Minnesota State Fair, enriching her life with simple pleasures and the beauty of nature. Sharon also loved baking, and her family loved that about her too! She made the best chocolate chip cookies! She really enjoyed getting together with family for the holidays and special occasions; having family around was always very important and special to her. She also liked to sew and worked as a seamstress for a time and even helped sew the neighborhood dance teams costumes for their many recitals.

Sharon will be celebrated and remembered for the warmth and kindness she spread to all who knew her. Until we all meet again, we will miss you!
