Obituary of Deborah Ann Borgren

March 31, 1953-October 2, 2024

Debbie (Dowdell) Borgren was born to Gerald (Bud) Dowdell and Ione (Glenn) Dowdell. She graduated from Atwater Public School in 1971. She graduated from St Scholastica with a Bachelor of Nursing in 1976. Debbie married the love of her life, Thomas Borgren, on Dec 7, 1974. She was mother to Leah, Tom Jr., and Katelyn and grandmother to Selma and Jack. 
 

She is also remembered by her siblings Kathy (Ron), Jerry (Debbie), and Mary (Brian) and her in-laws Peter (Jane), Mary, Julie (Chad), Kathleen, and Theresa, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
 

She spent her career on the maternity floor delivering babies.  She enjoyed being in her garden, raising her pigs and chickens, and being outdoors, as well as jigsaw puzzles and sudokus. 

She passed peacefully on Wednesday.  There will be a Celebration of Life on Monday, Oct 7th from noon to 3pm at The Breeze Inn on Jean Duluth Rd in Duluth.  Friends and family are also welcome to attend the interment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Atwater on Friday, October 18 at 1pm followed by a gathering at The Handle Bar in Atwater for light refreshments and remembering.
