Obituary of Mary Catherine Jensen

Jensen, Mary Catherine, age 89 of Richfield passed away peacefully on September 20, 2024. 

Preceded in death by husband Philip, parents John and Catherine, brothers Johnny, George and Joey, sisters-in-law Blanche, Shirley, and Mary, grandson Laynie, and special friend Pete.

Survived by children Joe (Laurie) Jensen, Lori (Mark) Balding, Phil Jensen, Kim (Layne) Leitner, grandchildren Anthony (Amanda), Adam (Stephy Jo), Mitchell (Joanna), Nikki (Chris), Paige, Max and 13 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.  

Mary worked in the airline industry for over 30 years. She started at North Central Airlines which later became Republic Airlines, merged with Northwest Airlines (NWA) and finally retired from Delta. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary loved bingo and working at the Saints Bingo Hall in her evenings where she made many lifelong friends. Her latest saying was, “Getting old ain’t for sissies” and she definitely was no sissy. We love you Mom, you will be missed.
