Obituary of Phillip George Frolik

It is with profound sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our dad, Phillip George Frolik, who left us on September 15, 2024, at the age of 56, far too soon. He was Surrounded by his loving family and friends in his final moments.

Phil was born on October 9, 1967 in Minneapolis, MN to Gordon and Sylvia Frolik.

He is survived by children: Cameron Frolik and Chelsea Frolik (Tyler Linder). Grandchildren: Teagan, Crosby, and Saylor Linder. Mother Sylvia Frolik. Siblings: Chris (Roxanne) Frolik, Mike (Pam) Frolik, Jon (Megan) Frolik, Jodi (Enrique) Arreola. And six nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his father Gordon Frolik, Paternal grandparents George and Arvilla Frolik, and Maternal grandparents Norman and Josephine Christopherson.

Phil earned a degree in Meat Cutting at Dakota County Technical College in 1990. In November of 2010 he completed an Apprenticeship for the Ironworkers local 512. He worked on the new I-35w bridge but loved meat cutting and often went back to this occupation. He had a passion for the outdoors, especially deer hunting and ice fishing, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren. 

He will be remembered for his fun-loving and often times goofy personality, and his big heart. 

A celebration of life will be held October 19th from 1-4 at the Elk River Legion. 525 Railroad Dr NW, Elk River 55330.
