Obituary of Vivian Schultz

Vivian Kimberly Schultz

January 1st, 2012, to September 23rd, 2024

Vivian Schultz, 12, of Stillwater, MN, died peacefully in her sleep on September 23rd, 2024. She is the beloved daughter of Tamara Sparrow and Dan Schultz and will be dearly missed by her sister, Evelyn, and her brother, Quentin. She was cherished by loving grandparents Kimberly Schultz and Jerry Schultz, and Ruth Sparrow and Carl Sorensen. Vivian will be reunited in Heaven with her loving grandfather, Gene Sparrow. Her extended family and many friends will miss her always.

Vivian had a sharp mind and keen wit, a bright smile, and a level of intelligence that could be startling at times. A cherished friend to many, and a straight-A student, she was a member of the National Junior Honor Society, as well as the Stillwater Middle School track team. Fascinated by the mysteries of the world, she had memorized the mathematical constant pi to the 30th digit. If you needed to know the name of the magical map that showed every nook, cranny, and secret passage at Hogwarts (or any tidbit of knowledge that map might reveal), Vivian had an answer for you. Books were constant companions for her, and she was about to embark on a new learning adventure, picking up a violin to study the intricacies of classical music. Vivian was an Old Soul who held a deep and beautiful wisdom.

Please join our family in remembering her bright and beautiful life. Vivian’s Celebration of Life will be held at Shepherd of the Valley Church, 14107 Hudson Road S, Afton, Minnesota on Thursday, October 3rd. Visitation begins at 10:00 am, Service at 11:00 a.m., followed by lunch. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Children’s Minnesota Foundation in Vivian’s memory. Cards may be sent to The Vivian Schultz Family, in care of Ruth Sparrow, 446 3rd St. S., Bayport, MN, 55003.
