Karen Gylling

Obituary of Karen Janelle Gylling

Karen was born on September 16, 1945, in Minneapolis, MN, to Maxwell and Gertrude Sannan. Karen went to Holy Name School as a child and graduated from St. Margarets College. She went on to meet her late husband Dean; they bought a house in Richfield, and they had two children, Scott and Shelly. Shortly after, Karen decided to start her career, and it started with a couple of part-time jobs, but she was hired at Thermo King, where she spent the rest of her career and retired after 36 years!

Karen was a kind, compassionate, and loving person. She enjoyed cooking, going to the casino, spending quality time with her family and friends, and she especially loved playing her accordion! She was an absolutely wonderful mother who will be deeply missed. Until we meet again, mom, I love you.

Karen is survived by her daughter Michelle Gylling; her grandchildren Nicole (Justin) Gylling and Anthony (Rachel) Gylling; her great-grandchildren Hailey, Jayson, Tristyn, and Jordyn; and her aunt, who is very dear to her, Shirley Davis.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Dean Gylling, and her son, Scott Gylling.

A visitation will be held on September 18th, 2024, from 12:00pm-4:00pm at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, located at 7110 France Ave S, Edina, MN, 55435.
