Obituary of Anita Frances Wilson

Anita Frances Wilson was born November 26, 1958, in White Plains, New York to Charles and Juanita (Peterson) Wilson. Her family moved from New York to Minneapolis where she grew up and became a lifelong resident. She graduated from Minneapolis Central High School and worked for a time at the University of Minnesota.

Anita will be remembered for her love of children and for celebrating holidays and enjoying people, food and music. She was always stylish with the way she coordinated her outfits and wore sunglasses for every occasion.

Anita had recently accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and we shared her joy in making that decision.

Anita peacefully passed away on September 2, 2024, she is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Juanita Wilson, her brother Charles Wilson, Jr. and her sister LaDoris Wilson.

Anita is survived by her sisters Linda Buchanan (Reginald Buchanan), Denise Wilson, Margaret Wilson Garcia, Samantha Wilson Hemingson (Richard Hemingson), Jannie Wilson, her brothers, Anthony Wilson and James Wilson, her nieces Alisha Buchanan and Jada Wilson and nephew Jared Buchanan along with cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 13th at 10:00am, Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00am at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4343 Nicollet Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55409.
