Obituary of Sharyl Faye Reppenhagen
In Loving Memory of Sharyl Faye Reppenhagen:
Sharyl Reppenhagen, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt passed away peacefully on September 6th, 2024, at the age of 84. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
Sharyl was born August 12th,1940, in Brooks, Minnesota, and raised there until she graduated from Oklee High School. She briefly lived in Cloquet, MN, then Minneapolis, before moving out west to California, where she gave birth to her daughter, Jodi. After six years, they moved back to St. Paul where Sharyl worked as a mortgage banker and Realtor while raising Jodi. Growing tired of Minnesota winters, she moved to Las Vegas for nearly a decade before returning to the Twin Cities to be close to her family where her time was spent attending nearly every hockey game, hand stitching prom dresses and dress up clothes, and lovingly stitching blankets for those she loved and cared for.
Her passion for books, plants, cats, and sewing were shared with those close to her, as were her words of wisdom and encouragement. Whether through her love of gardening or her incredible talent with a sewing needle, her creativity knew no bounds. She had the remarkable ability to fix anything, from clothing to life's challenges, and her family is grateful for the many lessons she passed on.
She is survived by daughter Jodi Patterson (Tom), granddaughters Jennifer Brama (Justin), Taylor Rymanowski (Josh), Kimberly Miller (Kevin), great grandchildren Noah, Oliver, Eliana Brama, sisters Bonnie Kloskowski (Tom), Lora Thibideau (Jerry), and nieces Michelle Henaman (Keith), Tiffany Alm (Mike), and Lisa Kloskowski. Sharyl was preceded in death by her parents Beatrice and Evert Peterson.
A Catholic mass in celebration of her life will be held on September 27th at St.Olaf Catholic Church in Minneapolis at 10:00 a.m., visitation one hour prior, with a hosted luncheon to follow the service.”
