Wanda (Doetkott) Nelson
Wanda Ellen Nelson passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia, MN after a short and courageous battle with metastatic bladder cancer. She was born July 2, 1955 to Allen and Janis (Hoff) Doetkott in Melrose, MN and was raised in Arlington, MN. Wanda graduated from Arlington-Green Isle High School in 1973 and from Anoka Ramsey Community College in 1981 with an associate degree in nursing. She retired in 2023, wrapping up her career as a nursing assistant teacher at Osseo High School. Wanda loved watching sports, listening to and dancing to music, enjoying the beauty of nature, playing games, and riding her bike around her beloved hometown of Arlington. However, her greatest passion was her family.
Wanda will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter Sara (Tim) Prosen and her son Jesse Nelson; affectionately known as Baseball Grandma to her grandchildren, Cale, Emmet, and Blake Prosen, and Shella Nelson; sister, Karen (Steve) Cromer, brothers Brent (Peggy), Kent (Mimie), Keith (Keri), and Jack (Ashley) Doetkott and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be sadly missed by her family and all who loved her.

A celebration of life will be held at Sportsman's Park in Arlington on Sunday, September 29 from noon to 4 p.m.
