Obituary of Janine Kay Juergens
Janine Kay Juergens, age 68, of Minneapolis, passed away on August 11, 2024, in her home from natural causes.
Janine was born in August 1955 in Carroll, Iowa. She attended Owatonna High School and earned a Bachelor of Science in Food Science from the University of Minnesota. She worked at Target for many years in their food testing department, ensuring consumers knew the best way to cook or reheat meals from Target’s Archer Farms brand.
She loved to travel with her friends and family, garden in her free time, and was an avid reader. She was also a seamstress who enjoyed the projects she took on for friends and family, whether it was hemming a pair of pants or creating a Christmas stocking for a friend’s grandchild. She also loved crafting greeting cards with her friends. She was always involved with the many friends she had made over the years, from her previous jobs to the group she spent hours with crafting cards or traveling the world. She was an excellent cook and loved to try new recipes and perfect ones that had been in the family for ages.
She was a wonderful sister and friend to all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
Janine is survived by her sister, Patricia; brother, Michael; nieces, Rebecca Johnson and Cathryn (Johnson) Holmgren; and many other extended family members and friends.
No funeral is planned.
