Obituary of Bernard Elmer Lee

Bernard Elmer Lee, age 100, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024 in Superior, WI. 

He was born April 25, 1924 to Albert Lee and Clara (Nelson) in Chippewa Falls, WI.  Bernard grew up in Thorp, Wisc and enlisted in the Navy and served during WWII, LST 960, in the Pacific Theatre.  He owned and operated a painting business in Duluth.  He was a member of the Scottish Rite, a Master Mason, Shriner, and a member of the VFW.

Bernard was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Shirley Lee; brothers, Glen, Jack and Edward; sister, Elaine; and step-son, Wade Whetstone.

He is survived by his son, Bernard (Lisa) Lee; daughter, Alison Roberts; step-daughter, Cindy Neumann; step-sons, Rodney Whetstone, Scott Whetstone; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. until the 3:00 p.m. Memorial Service on Monday, August 26, 2024 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Avenue Duluth, MN.
