Coleen Mae Schoenheider 4/14/1944- 8/6/2024
Coleen was born at St. Ann’s Hospital in Algona, Iowa, and spent her childhood growing up on a farm near Lone Rock Iowa. In 1962 she moved to Minnesota and lived at the YMCA where she made friendships that lasted throughout her life. Coleen earned an associate's degree and worked at 3M for 34 years in human resources.
Coleen actively volunteered with Sacred Heart Church and liked preparing meals for friends and neighbors in her condo. She was successful and enjoyed the relationships that she made selling Avon.
Survived by son Ryan Schoenheider and daughter Sara Ruiz, ex-husband Neil Schoenheider, sisters Sharon Poeckes and Patty (Jim) Breese, and brothers Terry Collins (Debbie) and Chuck (Luanne) Collins. Preceded in death by her parents Luella and Ronald Collins.
Coleen was able to spend time with many long-time friends and relatives during her last weeks at the Pillars Hospice.
A private service will be held in West Bend Iowa. Donations in her name can be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
