Obituary of Gary Lance Carlson

Gary Lance Carlson, 77 of Clearwater MN passed away on Thursday July 11, 2024.

Gary was born in Minneapolis, MN and resided in MN until 1995 when he was transferred by the railroad Union Pacific to Pocatello ID. In 2019 Gary & Char returned to MN to be closer to their kids, grandkids, family & friends. Gary is survived by his wife Charlotte, his sons Lance & Brad, his daughter Jennifer, 4 grandchildren Josh, Anika, Ozzy, and Gabe, granddaughter Aiyana (Angel), and his 2 brothers Greg and Robert.

Gary loved his family and was at his happiest being with his wife Char and having the family around them, he enjoyed time at the cabin, had a love of fishing and being on the water, had a great passion for MN Twins baseball (radio listening) and was always up for a game of cribbage. Gary had a big heart, just wanted everyone to smile and enjoy time around each other, he was easy to talk with and always made sure to ask how you were doing and if you needed anything.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Florence Carlson, sisters-in-law Sharon Makiaris and Anne Carlson, brothers-in-law Vern Hart and George Bean.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date still to be announced.
